How this guide works

How events are selected

Only events tagged Pitch events are included. A listing appears here when the public organizer information describes a pitch, demo or founder presentation component.

Before you register

Confirm whether you are applying to pitch or registering only as an attendee; these are often separate ticket types.
Choose a sector-specific room when investor relevance matters more than the largest possible audience.
Prepare a short version of the pitch and a follow-up link before the event because live slots are usually time-limited.

Planning answers

Frequently asked questions

Can I pitch in Lisbon during Web Summit week without joining the official Web Summit PITCH competition?

Yes, some independent side events run separate pitch sessions with their own applications. They are not official Web Summit events, and acceptance depends on each organizer.

Does registering for an event guarantee a pitch slot?

Not necessarily. Many events separate attendee registration from founder applications or paid pitch options. Check the official registration page and confirmation from the organizer.

How can I pitch to investors without a Web Summit ticket?

Enchant pitch parties use their own registration and do not require a Web Summit conference pass. Choose a pitch ticket or apply directly to the organizer; free attendee registration does not include a pitch slot. Other organizers may have different rules.

Are there 1-minute or 3-minute startup pitches?

Enchant lists 1-minute pitches without a presentation and 3-minute pitches with a presentation. Last free 1-minute slots remain only where available; AI and Healthtech pitch slots are no longer free. Read current availability and approval conditions on Luma.

Is an independent pitch party the same as a pitch competition?

No. A competition has stated selection and judging rules, and may have awards. A pitch party or demo session should not be described as a competition unless the organizer explicitly runs one.
